Plug Care Instructions & Disclaimer

Disclaimer:
Love Kills Boutique INC. cannot be held liable for any skin reactions, allergies, or sensitivities that may occur from wearing jewelry made with natural or synthetic materials. While we use wood and other materials known to be safe for skin contact, every individual’s body reacts differently. Wearing natural materials is at your own risk.

If you experience any irritation, rash, or discomfort, remove the jewelry immediately. Should symptoms persist or worsen, please seek medical advice promptly.

General Care for All Love Kills Boutique Jewelry

  • Keep your jewelry dry! Remove before showering, bathing, swimming, or any water-related activities. Never submerge your jewelry in water.

  • Do not clean with autoclaves or ultrasonic cleaners.

  • Avoid wearing jewelry while sleeping to prevent accidental damage.

  • Keep jewelry away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight, which can cause cracking, warping, or fading.

  • Store jewelry safely in a jewelry box or protective case. Avoid pockets or purses where items might get scratched or damaged.

  • Avoid contact with hair and beauty products such as shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, hair dye, spray tans, lotions, and perfumes. Chemicals can damage finishes and cause skin irritation.

  • Some pieces are hand-painted or have delicate finishes that may fade or tarnish over time, especially with exposure to chemicals or moisture.

  • Jewelry settings may include zinc metal alloy (cadmium-free), copper (cadmium-free), water-based paints, paint sealers, and glitters—please handle these with care.

  • All items are handmade and delicate—dropping jewelry may cause cracks, chips, or breaks.

Specific Care for Wooden Jewelry

  • Wooden jewelry is finely sanded and finished with carnauba wax to repel moisture and keep it looking beautiful.

  • Natural aging may cause lighter woods to darken or yellow over time—this is normal and adds character. Proper care can slow this process.

  • Avoid exposing wooden pieces to extreme temperatures or sudden climate changes to prevent cracking or shrinking.

  • Clean wooden jewelry gently with a dry, soft cloth. Occasionally, apply 1–2 drops of jojoba oil on a soft cloth and gently polish your wooden plugs to maintain moisture and shine. Avoid using oil on gemstones or synthetic materials.

  • Handmade wooden plugs may have a size tolerance of ±0.3 to 0.5 mm due to the organic nature of the materials. Variations in color and grain are natural and make each piece unique.

Sizing & Allergy Advice

  • Accurate sizing is essential for comfort and fit. Please measure carefully before ordering.

  • If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before wearing jewelry made from natural or mixed materials.

Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom sizing and organic nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
